Sour grapes

 

 

 

There was a hungry fox.

 

He was looking for something to eat, but nothing stood out.

 

Then, he found a vine with bunches of grapes.

 

The fox swallowed his saliva.

 

But the grapes were on high ground.

 

He tiptoed and ran, but He couldn't reach it at all.

 

After struggling for a long time, He was getting more and more hungry.

 

He didn't even have any energy.

 

Eventually, the fox stopped jumpping, turned around, and left.

 

And he murmured.

 

 

"That grape is undercooked and will be very sour. I hate sour grapes very much."

 

 
 
 

신포도

 

 

배가 고픈 여우가 있었습니다.

먹을 것을 찾아다녔지만 눈에 띄는 것이 없었습니다.

그러다 포도송이가 주렁주렁 달린 포도나무를 발견했습니다.

여우는 군침을 삼켰습니다.

하지만 포도는 높은 곳에 달려 있었습니다.

까치발을 하고, 뛰어도 봤지만 도무지 손이 닿지 않았습니다.

한참 발버둥을 치고 있자니 점점 더 배가 고파 왔습니다.

기운도 없었습니다.

결국 여우는 뛰는 것을 멈추고 등을 돌린 후 그 자리를 떴습니다.

그러면서 중얼거렸습니다.

 

"저 포도는 덜 익어서 아주 실 것 같아. 나는 신 포도를 아주 싫어하거든."
